TEHRAN - Iranian table tennis player Mohammad Reza Akhlagh-Pasand is to take part in the 2009 Asian Cup.

ATTU (Asian Table Tennis Union) has invited the Iranian athlete to participate in the event which will take place in Hangzhou, China, from May 19 to 21.
The top 16 Asian table tennis players in March ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) rankings have been invited to participate in the tournament.
Neda Shahsavari, Iran’s woman table tennis player, will be able to participate in the tournament if Kazakhstan’s representative does not to take part in the event.
The Iranian duo is also scheduled to participate in the World Table Tennis Championships which will be held in Yokohama, Japan, from April 28 to May 5
